- These house boats are NOT pet friendly, if you bring a pet onto the house boat it will incur termination of your agreement and removal of guests with no refund.
- Our boats DO NOT have WIFI, Hotspots or cable.
- Each boat comes with ropes to tie up the houseboat, if any ropes are cut, there is a $150 fine per rope cut.
- The marina has ice, beer, and small last minute necessities you may have forgotten.
- If you have a personal boat that you are bringing, our boat launch is free and we have trailer parking. Depending on what type of boat you have you can tow it behind the house boat. This is something you can discuss with staff members during orientation.
Check-In, Check-Out & Parking
- Check in at 12pm CENTRAL time, we will try our best to accommodate for early check in but cannot guarantee.
- Upon check in, a staff member will speak to you about whether you would like to drive the houseboat and tie up the houseboat yourself or if you would like us to take the houseboat to a cove and tie the boat up. For the second option we do not go past Sunset Marina, so we will put you in a cove between us and Sunset. The staff member will speak with you during orientation to find a cove best fit for your visit.
- After your boat is loaded, we only allow for one car per houseboat to be in our main parking lot. We have overflow parking that you will need to move extra cars to.
- Check out is at 10 am CENTRAL time, meaning you must be outside the no wake zone by 10 am for pick up. If there are multiple rentals returning the same day, the marina may schedule at different check out time with you. This is only at the discretion of the marina, you may NOT schedule your own check out time. If you are late there is a $50 late fee for every 30 minutes. If the marina tied up your houseboat and you wish for us to pick you up from cove you are in, you must be ready before 10 am, as the marina will be docking your boat at 10am. Depending on where you are parked will determine what time you must be ready for pick up.
Fuel & Utilities
- Each houseboat has (2) 200 gallon gas tanks. One for the generator and one for the drive motor. Upon returning to the dock, you will be responsible for the cost of both fuel tanks being refilled.
- The water tank is 200 gallons and should last your entire stay, if not you can come to the marina to fill up the tank. Since it is a limited supply we do suggest conserving water the best you can.
- You must run the generator for at least twice a day for 4 hours.
- The septic tanks on the boats are large enough to accommodate for 12 adults for around 7 days. If your stay is longer you can come to the marina to pump out the tanks.
- Due to the septic tanks on the boats, we do not allow for paper products to go into the toilet. Paper products can be disposed of in the provided bathroom trash can.
Capacity & Safety
- Each houseboat is equipped with 12 safety vests. (these are to be used only in case of emergency, not for swimming or any water sports). These boats are only equipped for 12 guests, it is important that you do not have more than 12 individuals per boat. Children do count towards the 12.
- Average drive speed is 7 MPH.
- Houseboats or any marina rentals may not be driven at night. Boats should be tied up by dusk.
- No riding, sitting or walking on the rails of the houseboats. If caught doing this, it could result in a fine from the TWRA.
- No water sports of any kind allowed off the back of the houseboat.
Cleanliness & Damage
- We ask that when you return the boat, it be in a relatively clean state. No dirty dishes, take sheets of used beds, lights and fans off inside and outside of boat, place all trash in outside trash cans or on top deck, all furniture (inside and outside) placed back in their original positions, etc. If there is a need for excessive cleaning, there will be a fee. This fee is determined by the marina depending on the amount of extra cleaning needed.
- During your stay if you or your party breaks anything on the boat, please notify staff when you return to the dock so we are able to remedy the situation.
- If at any point during your stay, you have mechanical issues, please call the marina at 931-879-7511 so we can get the on site mechanic to work on the issue.
